Mitzva Bar is a trendy hipster hangout you don't want to miss. This small restaurant and cocktail bar, just a short walk from Kremlin in the heart of the old Zamoskvorech'ye district has no special sign, just a heavy wooden door with hardly noticeable freemason and Jewish attributes. The door will lead you into the basement, where you will find yourself in a timeless space capsule. The place feels as if it's out of another era with dim lighting and vintage d?cor. The interiors are reminiscent of underground speakeasy circa early 1900's. The setting is perfect for intimate conversation with friends or a relaxed rendezvous with someone special. Mitzva is definetely an original act: every cocktail, made by local bartenders will have you grab your phone for a selfie with it -- they're just as beautiful as they're tasty. The food here is "jewish fusion", made in a very original style; you may not be accustomed to many of the tastes, but definetely will receive an aesthetic pleasure. Mitzva has an old fashioned way of presenting and serving food. Don't be shy and ask your waiter or bartenter about the sephiroth, paited on the cealing or any other things you may be curious about inside Mitzva -- the staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. There's a nice summer terrace that's open from May to October.
